I'm only just catching up, and have just now seen your news about Bertie. I am so, so sorry. It was clear it was coming, but I've rather dreaded hearing that the time had come. Even from all this distance away, it was always clear that he was a dog with an enormous personality. You were so lucky that he shared it with you!
Hello Pomiane, thank you for your post. We were lucky, his ending was short. Two days beforehand he had done his usual morning walk with us - a good way to go. We think he had a stroke and it was a kindness to let him go. And we are loving having Rona in our lives.
