Hello Fly, we always have more than we know what to do with - even making plum tam and plum chutney. Which means most of them just finish on the ground. I used to have to put up horse fencing to keep Vita away as she'd eat them whole - stone included! Not a good idea
Hello Lesley, touch wood, they're sheltered enough to survive - it's the apricots that tend to get caught, which I prefer. Round here - plums and Mirabelles, it's like coals to Newcastle, can't even give them away.
That's a lovely sight. Looks like a good crop in prospect.

DeleteI was going to make a plum chutney last week...until I saw the price of plums! They're a luxury item!
