Hard to believe - yesterday's early afternoon temperature was 29°C. We decided to make the most of it and headed for the sea. This time, we introduced Bertie to the Atlantic beaches of Cap Ferret.
The sand on the towels is from his digging. His spiky fur is from the salt water, having followed me into the surf, paddling against the rollers as he tried to reach me.
He thinks being at the beach is wonderful And so do we.- especially on a glorious day in October.
What a happy dog! It looks to have been a super day for all concerned....
ReplyDeleteHello Fly - lovely to hear from you. Yes, it was a very good day, not least the crispy deep fried fish and chips we had at lunchtime. :-)
DeleteI have no idea what has happened! Oh, fish and chips on top of such a gorgeous day...lucky you!
DeleteWell I'm glad whatever has happened, has happened. :-)
DeleteThe one time we went there it was pre Ted and we were the only people on the extreme bottom bit, even the cafe was closed. It was a long way to get to and after seeing the sand 'n sea we never went back. Must have been 2006/7 and exploring our new country. Thanks for the memories. Lesley
ReplyDeleteHello Lesley, I went to the extreme bottom bit as well, during summer, nose to tail! Never again! Grand Crohot beach is closer though climbing over the dunes is hard work on the calf muscles. It was a good day. :-)

ReplyDeleteAt least I learnt my Ferrets from my Ferrats. Lesley
DeleteI have waited until your next post was up to let you know that my dear 14 3/4 yr old Ted was put to sleep at the end of last month. It has been and still is so quiet (and lonely) without him. Lesley
ReplyDeleteOh Lesley, I'm so sorry for you. What a really tough decision to have to take. Thank you for letting me know. It's the hardest thing isn't it - that they go before us. Thinking of you.
