Last night's meal from the book (with slight adaptations). Roast parsnip, lentil with rocket salad plus roast fennel and squash with quinoa salad and crunchy roasted sunflower seeds on top. What's for dinner? he asked.
I'm making rice and veg, I said.
Does that mean I have to eat it too? he asked.
Made him a plate of nachos. He can eat nachos or noodles every night.
There are a lot of gluten free foods available here, all kinds of noodles also.Sharyn Ekberghhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11987304898246173619noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3063789335725081371.post-14670001738879489522011-12-01T20:31:22.137+01:002011-12-01T20:31:22.137+01:00Hi Sharyn, good idea! Mind you, eating less wheat has done great things for our waistlines!suejhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04072740351690646281noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3063789335725081371.post-36907228629653174322011-12-01T15:19:29.551+01:002011-12-01T15:19:29.551+01:00I'd love some new vegetarian recipes. I find English cookbooks sometimes don't translate well over here.
Maybe you could post a couple of your favorites and I could post some I have that work well for us over and over. I have the Food Matters cookbook which has some good ones I have tried and some that sound worth trying.Sharyn Ekberghhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11987304898246173619noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3063789335725081371.post-33319094419919543392011-12-01T08:53:21.330+01:002011-12-01T08:53:21.330+01:00Hi Sally, hope you get your wish. :)Hi Sally, hope you get your wish. :)suejhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04072740351690646281noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3063789335725081371.post-7117826158307700742011-11-30T23:59:52.680+01:002011-11-30T23:59:52.680+01:00Haven't got the book but have watched all of t...Haven't got the book but have watched all of the TV series of it & the book is HIGH on my Xmas list!

Demi/Sally xxAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3063789335725081371.post-63294959634352140042011-11-29T16:10:37.285+01:002011-11-29T16:10:37.285+01:00Hi Fly and Perpetua, thanks for stopping by. But though not totally vegetarian, DH and I do love our veg and have a lot of meat-free days, so this recommendation has gone straight down on my Santa wishlist. Thanks.
